Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas (better known as PTP) is a major hub in Southeast Asia, and has a capacity of 8.4 million, twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) per year. It is linked directly to the second Malaysia-Singapore Expressway and the North-South Highway, and also well connected via air and rail systems. Currently, PTP has 12 operational and fully equipped berths of 360 meters each. PTP is now construction two new berths i.e. Berth 13 & 14, and building three blocks of container yard to cater to the increasing demand for its services. PTP’s capacity will increase by 25% to 10.5 million TEUs. Berth 13 & 14 are designed to handle the biggest container vessel in the world to date, i.e. the Triple E class (EEE) vessel.
